i was the one who got the knives removed and I think it would be a terrible idea to add them back.
First off they're extremely glitchy, when a human is in front of a zombie the damage sometimes doesn't go onto the zombie but you still get damage indicators, this makes it seem like your doing more damage than you actually are and makes you feel like your getting less points, although this seems like a nerf it really just promotes individualism and makes people want to solo all the zombies, making people fight over who gets to kill the zombies when really it should be the other way around.
second, they're op, what's the point of buying a zs knife, axe, or even mallet when the shop knives are free and way better, its giving a high tier weapon for free on the first round which makes it extremely unbalanced.
third, the normal attack does 25 damage and hits pretty fast, second attack does 50 and goes slightly slower but still faster than an axe which does the same damage, the knifes have very broken lock on mechanics so even if your not directly aiming at the zombie you can still constantly hit them, this makes it extremely easy to kill headcrabs before they even touch you, the range is also long enough that it becomes quite easy to kill headcrabs even while they're jumping (which is op). And I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure that damage from the back did x2 which means that it would only take 2 hits to kill a zombie from the back using the secondary attack (around 3-4 seconds for 1 zombie).
fourth, although it seems like these issues could be nerfed or fixed, they really cant, since the knives are part of the pointshop, if saint where to nerf them (to my knowledge) he would have to nerf them on every other server as well since the pointshops are connected.
If you still want these added after reading all this then maybe you should try being on the receiving end of the knives for a few days so you can revaluate your answer.
