I like how you only want this fixed since you are the same donator rank as me. You sure do like to spread rumors about the rank when it doesn't affect you. The rank is fine and if people think you paid for it then tell them you didn't.

would it not be possible to just make different ranks named admin but with different color? or would that confuse the automatic rank assigner

It would require modifying the scoreboard on every server because it by default uses the rank name, and each rank must have a unique name.

could each rank maybe have a different name than the display name?  The display name could be Admin but the real name could be uberdonator_admin or does Garrys Mod not work like that

Like I said, I would have to modify the scoreboard (where most people see the rank) for that functionality. ULX itself only has a name identifier, nothing else. I would also have to change how it's displayed in the Chatbox and wherever else rank is displayed. So, a lot of work for something I don't think many people care about.

"premium donator | admin"
"donor | admin"
"admin" (for just normal members)

Best advice for this post, since demonik made this when he was admin and is no longer admin (so it should not be an issue for him), as well as no one else seems to care, if someone has a problem with players saying, "you paid for staff" why not just ignore it or just say no and move on. Saint has already said this would take to much time/effort to change and it isn't that big a deal if it hasn't been dealt with after a year or so of it being made.
