Server Swap/ Event ideas

I took a look at the server list in the forum page and wondered: How could we get more players?

I figured we had a few problems:

1. We don't advertise any other servers at all or the forums much in game servers. 
   
2. Our server doesn't very well compete with other servers that outrank us because we lack a large community
   
3. We don't have "Scouts" (explained below)
   
4. Our dead servers and game-modes are a joke when other servers basically make a mockery out of some of ours. *Cough Minecraft/unturned/DarkRp* Cough*
   

And I figured some minor solutions:

• Like we do in-game, pop up every once in a while a nice little link to the forums and details about our other servers (Something like "Enjoying LFG TTT? Be sure to check our ________ server or forums for other servers! [Link to forums here]
  
• By large community, I meant actively large. Stupid's TTT and other servers have AT LEAST 13 players on TTT around the clock. I think we could encourage activity by pushing a few thrilling bonuses to servers like on TTT, ZS, and Deathrun.(Explaining below)
  
• Scouts: People of our community who push into other communities (Without becoming a member or anything just mingle) and convince a few users to add to the friend's list and play on a "Fun server you know." Also look at other server content for ideas on updates
  
• So we have servers that go weeks or even MONTHS without a single player. Unturned I mention you. So I was thinking we could close those down/ swap them out for a murder and/or Guess who server (All LFG NPCs as player-models) I think it'd provoke what us members want and get more playtime out of us with server variety seeing how we are mainly GMOD based players. The FUN part: Event Ideas.

TTT: all Deathmatch type events can reward the victor with a reasonable amount of LFG points. ( I think it can vary by a number of players.) For instance, HEADSHOT WAR, I won 2 times in a row it came up today. There was about 16 on the server so I coulda bagged me about 5000 LFG points both times or 3000 if 5k seems to OP. Same for Negev DM and Harpoon DM. It'll give members and guests something to look forward to and win to get PS goodies.

Zombie Survival: Boss Zombies come up. A prompt can come in the middle of the screen with a challenge like... Most melee dmg on boss recieves ______ Points. or dealing the final shot on the boss gives you ____ points! Something whimsical and team-provoking to get players working together for them points.

Deathrun: A message can pop up for the final runner like it does for ZS players. (You are the last runner, beat the Death to recieve ______ points!) To reward a lone runner. 


Those ideas could use some work in my opinion and I'm open to Ideas from the members of LFG! Please take these into some consideration @SaintLuther .

Although I left some variables out of the second poll, I picked the least played servers to go in sort of a way that made sense in my mind. (But so what, I have 172 IQ and good judgment.) GG. Have fun discussing this while I'm gone for about a week/ I'll peek on this thread every once and a while!

Unturned had 3 people on yesterday thank you very much. Also, Saint has said multiple times that he doesn't have to close a server to make a new one. Also, the deathrun thing is bad.

Sorry, I thought it'd save prices. Keeping a dead server up is costly. Oh well. Saints thing if he wants a Murder + like 3 dead servers

Fyi, the way Saint hosts Unturned doesn't cost him anything. So having a free server be shut down to save costs is somewhat redundant. Plus fuck you I play on it sometimes and would rather keep it than get a fucking Guess Who server.

what would murder achieve in LFG other than give us another dead server? If anything, it would be like darkRP, Dead most of the time but sometimes active. It also doesn't help that gmod isn't as popular as it was last summer
