Ok so we switched to TFA yesterday, and a LOT of people complained, and I learned something about the TFA weapons that I didn't even have the chance of learning from Single Player... The bullets penetrate through walls, sometimes. A lot of players are complaining that the scopes suck, the recoil is crazy, the damage is weaker (which isn't true actually, cus I've tested both M9K and TFA and there is literally no damage difference), they want their RPGs back, and they'd rather have M9K with bottomless clips (of course they would). I messaged the creator of M9K to see if there's maybe a command that somehow got enabled that makes this happen, or if not, his idea at least on why it would happen.
Some people like the switch because it incorporated new features that M9K didn't have. The ability to switch your firing mode, toggle-able ironsights and scopes instead of holding the button down, more solid scoping regardless of lag, etc. Personally I like the switch because I like the scopes and the recoil seems more realistic to real life shooting. You can't spray bullets without your weapon recoiling from each shot, with no upgrades.
I also asked players about FA:S and I didn't really receive any kind of answers about it.
I guess, right now it'll just take some getting used to the new weapons. If there's a way to disable the bullet penetration, though, that would be nice, cus otherwise bases are useless cus you can just spray the walls with bullets and some of them will get through.
