I think it's different for everybody. My gmod isn't even that loud but the music is louder than my TS.

+vouch music is trash and it is semi loud while the ads are fucking earrape (literally need to take my headset off) already lowered my volume on gmod to barely and game or music volume (about 5%) and my volume for Pc is only one bar above no-volume.

+vouch the music is louder than the ads I get and that's saying something and I'm almost always in a DISCORD with pepole. And not only that the song choice really makes me consider sucide and whoever picked the song should really to(no offense but the song really is trash)

Loading music/advertisement too loud? Lower Garry's Mod volume in the Volume Mixer
Don't like the music? Mute your headset/speakers/Garry's Mod (via Volume Mixer) and play your own music

I already tried half these thing and most of the time im listening to music or talking to someone so I dont wanna take off my headset. 
I have no problems with ads why are you posting solution for those? Its off topic (I dont even see ads)
