Drone Restriction Guide (For Sandbox)

I'm making this thread so that players will know what drones they have access to, which ones they don't, why, and for myself to double-check the restrictions to make sure I didn't forget something.

I have also compiled a spreadsheet (some time ago) of data for these drones. It lists each drone, whether they're admin-locked by default, the rank you have to be to spawn them, their weapons (if any) and what they do (deal damage, takes screenshots, etc). You can find this spreadsheet here.

Also please note that drones restricted to the Donator rank will not be spawnable if you have not donated, even if you are an admin. You must donate $5 to get the donator rank (if you are an admin, you will be added to donator admin, which unlocks the drones).

All players will be able to use these drones:

Ambulance - Heals players. Not much more to say.

AR Drone, AR Drone Light, Bird Drone, Camera Drone, Flower Drone - Takes Screenshots

Capacitor - Doesn't do anything.

Cargo Transporter - Transports props and other things with a Winch tool.

Combine Turret Drone - Basically a controllable Combine Turret NPC. Same shitty damage, same shitty accuracy.

Core - Turns invisible, has a limited duration.

Defender - Has a laser that does 10 damage. Also has shields that make it impervious to gunfire for a while.

Dropship - Carries up to 4 players. Will ghost when spawned due to the large size.

Laser Drone - Shoots a constant laser that does 1 damage.

Limb of the Law - Shoots bullets for 10 damage.

Microwave - Explodes? i guess for 13 damage. Weirdest drone ever.

Nano Drone - Literally does nothing.

Plasmatic Melter - Shoots lasers for 8 damage.

Racing Drone - Does nothing, just a fast drone.

Repairer - Repairs drones.

Scout - Has a Half Life 2 Pistol, still the same shitty damage though.

Spider Drone - Can climb walls and walk on ceilings. Also bites players, and poisons them. The initial bite does 2 damage, and poison does 2~5 incremental damage until the poison wears off.

Spy Drone - Same as Core, except in actual drone shape.

Supply Drone - Drops some SENTs from Half Life 2, like ammo, health, and armor. 

Members will gain exclusive access to these drones:

Ball Turret - A ball that rolls around. When activated, turns into a turret that does 4 damage.

Bomb Drone - Basically just a flying bomb. Does up to 175 damage to players depending on how close they are to the explosion.

DXL-3000 - Shoots red lasers that ignite players. Mouse 1 (Left Click) does 20 damage and has a slower rate of fire, while Mouse 2 (Right Click) has a higher rate of fire, but less damage.

Firestorm - Ignites players for a while. Does no actual damage.

JIE Drone - Has a minigun and a small rocket launcher. The minigun does 8 damage while the rockets do up to 75.

Mine Dropper - The name says it all. It can drop mines, and when detonated, do up to 100 damage.

Rail Accelerator - Shoots rail props at players, doing 20 damage and slightly pushing them.

Sniper Drone - Has a sniper rifle (duh) and if you manage to hit a player, does 500 damage. Has awful recoil though.

Steel Warrior - Has a double minigun which does 6 damage.

Stormtrooper - Lightweight, fast drone that has a light minigun on it that does 4 damage. Has bad accuracy, like the namesake, and the recoil can push the drone back.

Submarine - A water-only drone that shoots depth charges. Each depth charge deals roughly 250 damage, however explosions are rendered mostly ineffective underwater.

Donators will gain exclusive access to these drones:

Laser Commando - Looks like a tie fighter. Has a laser minigun that does 7 damage. Also ignites players.

Plasma Bomb Drone - Works the same as the Bomb Drone, but this one does 250 damage.

Rainbow Drone - Plays chime sounds, with an occasional high pitched "HAXXXXXX" sound. Otherwise, does nothing.
Note: This drone cannot be spawned at all since the helicopter grenade model is currently blocked by Falco's Prop Protection.

Rocketeer - Has two types of rocket launchers. The first fires normal rockets for 80 damage. The other is a homing missile launcher that does 200 damage and can track players. Has a much longer cooldown between uses however.

Walker Drone - You know the AT-STs from Star Wars? It's basically that with miniguns instead of lasers.

Admins will gain exclusive access to these drones:

Artillery Drone - A big drone with an artillery cannon on it. The explosion does 500 damage at its center, but deals significantly less outside of the center. Also since it's an artillery cannon, has a long cooldown before each use, and it features no other weapons.

Crucifier - A large spider drone that has miniguns and a defensive shield to protect itself from damage.

Death from Above - A big drone (gets ghosted by FPP) that has a quadruple rocket launcher, each one does 125 for a total of 500 damage. Slow and inaccurate, with a small blast radius however, so it's likely that you'll miss.

PLOT-130 - A giant walker drone that has a minigun and a rocket launcher. The minigun does 6 damage, the rocket launcher does 100.

These drones are banned. Only Consultants, Advisors, and Superadmins can spawn them.

Deus Ex Machina - A gigantic drone with a death laser. Wanna guess what it does?
Ban Reason: Death Laser.

G-P.R.O. Assistant Drone - Has a variety of building tools: Winch, Multitool, and Repairer.
Ban Reason: The Multitool can hack keypads.

Hunter-Chopper - Functions the same as the NPC.
Ban Reason: Massive, infinite ammo (no delay unlike the NPC), and laggy as hell.

Lightbringer - A creepy drone that shoots bloody skulls. When they hit anything, they play a screamer sound. Also being hit by multiple Hell Skulls triggers a hell effect that lasts for about 5 minutes. Also touching the sides will cause damage.
Ban Reason: Screamer sounds, Hell effect

Melon True Drone - A flying watermelon that has a rocket launcher. Instead it shoots watermelons.
Ban Reason: Prop kills.

Mothership - The largest drone ever, so large in fact that it cannot be controlled with a remote controller. You must control it via the console on top of it. Features 3 different missile pods at different locations, as well as an orbital strike. When it's destroyed, explodes in a blinding white light and leaves large amounts of debris owned by "world" on the map.
Ban Reason: Too massive for most maps, orbital strike, and the debris.

Nuclear Winter - Take a guess at what it does.
Ban Reason: Do I even need to say why?

Orbital Strike Marker - Has an orbital strike. Not much else to say.
Ban Reason: Orbital Strike.

SIS Drone - Shoots three types of grenades. Regular ones, which just do explosive damage, Napalm, which explode into flames, igniting nearby players, and EMP, which do nothing to players, but completely shuts down drones.
Ban Reason: You can shoot these grenades really fast causing a lot of explosions.

The Ball of Swiborg - A head that shoots lasers from its eyes, dealing 1,250 damage to anything nearby. Also ignites everything near the lasers.
Ban Reason: Should be obvious. Too OP.

Walking Tank - A giant spider-like drone with two weapons. First it has a triple minigun which does the same as the Walker Drone, but there's a third minigun, so you can imagine how fast it shoots now. Second, it has a double rocket launcher which shoots two rockets at once, each one dealing 125 damage (for a total of 250 damage) and can be fired in rapid succession. It also kicks up large dust clouds that linger for several seconds.
Ban Reason: Re-read the description. Should be obvious.

Revisions may be made to this. Feel free to post ideas and suggestions below.

Note: The damage values listed above may not match the damage values listed in the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is the correct information. I'm just too lazy to update the information on here. I just re-tested every drone in singleplayer (as of Nov 2nd, 2016) and updated the spreadsheet accordingly. So don't post saying the information on this post doesn't match what it says on the spreadsheet. I know.

I'm glad this was made but i do miss firing the lightbringer at squeakers and hearing them scream.

All thought you have never seen the submarine in action i have used it before it was banned, yes it could move but you could move it with a physics gun and freeze it EX: put it at the end of a hallway and fire it, which is exactly what i used to do with it. I am sort of glad it banned it fired high-speed rockets that i am pretty sure didn't lock on but did massive damage 250 maybe?

I can test it later for damage, but it's not really necessary since the controls other than shooting don't work on it anyways. Like I said, in the LFG Sandbox server (idk about singleplayer, I've never used it) trying to move through the water just causes it to sink and act like it was disabled. Sure you can move it with the physics gun, but you can do that with any drone.

Updated to include information about the two new drones added: Artillery Drone (locked to admins) and Supply Drone (everyone).
Submarine also returned to Members and above as the recent update to Drones Rewrite fixed it.
