teamspeak channel position thing

This thread is not about giving people admin on Teamspeak, it's about adding server ranks onto Teamspeak so people can see what you are from clicking on your name.

The ranks themselves will not have any additional permissions except me suggesting they be given operator in the servers channel that they are admin on.

This is a 3 year old thread. Also there's like 1-3 people on TS at a time normally

You may bump old suggestions which were not clearly decided on and are still relevant. This is preferable to making a new thread. Please provide new information, answer questions, or give additional reasons it should be added if you bump.

Ok so we should add teamspeak server roles (that dont have images so it does not pop up next to the M logo) for server admins so it is easier for people to spot out those who are admins for the server they are looking for.  

Another thing with this is that the server role should automatically give the channel role channel operator to the specified channel for that server so that the admin can also moderate the teamspeak channel so if someone starts breaking rules in the channel they can punish them for it.


The only problem I see in this suggestion is other channel operators demoting each other for troll reasons.  But I could be wrong that could only apply for channel admin but I dont really know.

cant discord do this exact thing much easier? I'm pretty sure its easier to assign roles to people on discord much easier. then again, idk how ts roles work

Discord can do these things much easier but Saint has a preference for TS. Its easier for saint to modify what he know than to learn an entirely new system. besides that discord kind of hates steam.

Is this something that would be easy for you to do @SaintLuther or is this gonna require a lot of work?

I imagine this wouldn't be too hard since like I mentioned before you already have something like this set up, the !ts command that links you to your member rank. You would simply just also add admin identification rank too.
