Hey, This list was planned to be suggested when a group of people "including me" were going to suggest ACF, We never got to it but I still think these items and ideas can be added to the list to choose from and so on. I had these items ready to be suggested to LFG for the past Month or so now but never thought of a good time to add it so why not just go give it a try and see how it does.

Maps. I believe we can still go for some new maps in the sandbox even though we had new added, Its good to have a bigger selection to be added

Replacements. Falco's Props Protections... Oh boy what a mess that is, its extremely basic compared to NadMod even thought NadMod can still be used easily, It also shows the prop "Clipboard" when you look at it, so you don't have to guess what it is to get the correct item spawned in. The Genesis Map.... Do I have to say any more? Its a better and actually is the completed version of the map. And then there is Functional_Flatgrass, This map is amazing and people love it for many reasons which also confuses me and many other people of why it was removed from the Selection. *Cough* UHC *Cough*

Additions. First Prop Limit, We all want to make cool things but we don't have the prop limit to do so, Members have like a 75 Limit I believe, that number seems big but when you actually build, you reach that number stupidly fast and you cant really make good or even functioning things. Now vehicles/seats, People want to spawn or make multi seated contraptions that can all functional with pod controls and whatever, well here we are folks.

Additions

Adding +25 to +75 prop limit to all ranks, except Users. They will stay at 50 max
Set limit to vehicles from 2 to 5 Except Users


Tools. Ya we already have a lot of tools but heck, what about a little more. All the tools can be used in various ways main ideas of using them all can be on vehicles mainly from seeing the Axis, BallSockets, Fin, Spherical. tools which are all going to be most likely used quite a bit and they are all easy to get the hang of. Visual clip on the other hand is basically what is says, It clips a prop Visual but the hit box is still the same so it can make builds just a little bit more cleaner looking.

Dustbowl: ok I guess

RedRock: Barren

DesertDriving: More Barren

OrgasmicWarfare: kind of barren, but it offers more than 1 landscape. its acceptable

Cosine: looks boring

Trainset: looks like the lower area of sunsetgulch was put in an enlarged hl2 house. still looks boring though

BlueHills: Not bad. has a lot, looks fun, plenty to do. +vouch

Construct in flatgrass: its construct with extra grass. if you want a larger construct, youll probably like this one

Vexen: this map is about as large as war map, and as empty as flatgrass. its a meh

Construct extended: +vouch. lots of space and that space is not just an empty flat field. ive played on this map before and its pretty fun.

Range_E8: its like gm_isles but bigger. +vouch

NadMod: no opinion.

Replace old genesis with new: that's a good idea. its more of a map with everything from the old version with new stuff added instead of a complete layout change. + vouch

Bring back old functional flatgrass: yes. I made the mistake of wanting that replaced

Extra prop limit: it sounds like itd cause chaos, but when you factor how many build vs how many people pvp, it (probably) wont be that bad

Higher vehicle limit: yes pls.

Tools: we already have ballsocket and axis, they just aren't theyre separate tools. I'm indifferent about the others

Buttes is removed from map rotation, but not votemap. btw other maps that still have this issue are gm_rhine and freespace_revolution

The GM_Genesis is now fixed. I forgot to copy the 3 in the link so it went to something different.
And about the issues with GM_Rhine and GM_Freespace_Rev. I have had no issue when I got on to those maps at multiple occasions. But that may change in the future, maybe with a minor Suggest for those maps in the future.

And for your comment on the Axis and Ball Socket tools, I don't you get why I'm suggesting them, I know we have the basic Axis and basic Ballsocket but the reason behind these suggestions is that they can be used in vastly different ways. Hence why I'm also suggesting them. If they were similar then I wouldn't of even added them to the list.

If needed you can call me on Discord UHC and I can give you a demonstration in someways the tools can be used and the other tools as well.

i mean the current prop limit can crash the server so i dont think increasing it would make it any better or worse so why not

I was told to post suggestions to imporve sandbox here, so I will dump everything that I came up with.


If i had to suggest one useful tool it would be a shadow toggling tool. I do a lot of building and shadows are the one thing that cannot be easily manipulated in the game. The tool is simple and would make building many nice things easier.

My comment on the changes to vehicles and proplimits:

I play on the server fairly often, and I never really see anyone being stopped by the prop limit. There are many easier and more powerful ways to cause chaos then by spawning a million props (elastic-ing a few props or ragdolls together. elastic is unrestricted). Increasing the prop limit would not invite extra madness onto the server compared to what is already doable on the server. As a person who often builds large, intricate builds, an increase in propcount would be nice so I can make better and nicer builds. 

Something that I would also like as a builder would be to be able to spawn in more "vehicle" seats. The seats are nicer and easier then Alt+E. It is annoying that the seats are constrained by the vehicle limit, especially since they lack anything making them a vehicle. If the number of seats could not be changed independently of the vehicle limit, then a multi-seat chair like the movie seats would be a nice solution.

many of the current maps have bad spawnpoints that lead to massive amounts of spawnkill, which in turn causes me to make many advdupes that attempt to fix this. the tool above would allow an admin to permanently fix the map in a more official capacity. If that was too powerful, i could also provide the advdupes to fix some of the maps.

I looked for other options to add to the weapons but most of the stuff on the workshop is overpowered, and we already have guns. The few things i found and considered were mostly joke weapons that would be a waste of data. It does not break combat or add anything overpowered compared to the current weapons available, and it would add more interesting movement options for people who love to just run around the map. above all else it is a tiny addon

gmod in a sandbox - a smallish map based around novelty. At worst it is the same size as construct. It is also made well and would be good for combat given the amount of cover. It is also a very small file.

black mesa analog map - I know that many people like black mesa science lab maps. I remember we had such a map but it was removed. This map is large to give building space, if incomplete. It still has that science appeal

The problem that I am encountering is that many props have shadows built in that are drawn no matter what in a very broken manner. This addon removes said shadows and relies on the in game lighting system to generate better shadows. Shadows will not entirely disappear, and there will no longer be large, black messes under many props. 

You can see this effect in the screenshot on the addon page, in that the dynamic shadow remains but the oval beneath the table is gone. If you look closely, you can even see that the objects on the table are also drawing shadows through said table, making an even worse dark spot. By using the tool, you can remove said shadows.

For number of people impacted, many people might not use the tool, but it would make my spawn protection much better. I try my best to make prop-based spawn protection (for badly made maps) as ignorable as possible. However, the shadows always appear which turns spawn into a dark mess. If it is a large spawn, they can also stack, making the effect far worse. In addition, when making large things in midair said shadows still spawn, and it would be nice to have a method to remove them.

I tested the addon i picked out and it does solve the problem of being able to remove default shadows from props. You still get all shadows on all props normally, and have the option to remove default shadows you do not want. 

Finally, it is also a very small tool, simply flipping a switch in the game that I cannot get to otherwise. Adding it would not be hard (its .001 MB), and it would help at least a few people.

PS: I also mainly picked out the titanfall jump pack addon because I noticed you loved using Bhop mode UHC. Its pretty similar and could bring a breath of fresh air to jumping.
