I personally went hunting to see why it plays at different volume for different people, with their volume settings the same. I think it has to do with computer configurations, not steam. I still don't see how computer config. has to do with the volume of loading music, but I'm still looking into it.

I'm just gonna step out of this but before I do:
1. The loading screen music is not that bad (although it could be a bit better) 2. The music is at normal volume for me and I don't have my gmod music set to the lowest level. In fact, I don't change the volume at all and can still hear people on the server just fine. This is most likely a problem with each persons computer (or I've somehow gotten used to listening to very loud music) 3. Although this is getting a lot of support, just remember that @SaintLuther makes the final decision no matter what.
hahaha

You guys obviously don't get it. It has nothing to do with the volume mixer. My Gmod volume is a fraction of everything else on my computer yet it's still ear rape.

I dont understand you, his argument was logical and made sense you are the one with the illogical arguments, if you turn down your gmod sound and its still too loud for you then turn down the volume lower OR as i already said before you can do this: 1. Go to control panel 2. Go to sound devices 3. Click administrate sound devices and select your headset/speaker 4. Go to properties 5. Go to levels 6. Set the main volume level lower and problem fixed Edit: you could also turn the gmod volume all the way down while you are loading and then set it back up after you finish loading

Ok then, if you actually already tried that (all 3 of my suggestions) then tell me how is it not working if you already tried seting the gmod volume all the way down? I mean is your speaker/heatset broken and when you set the volume to 0 you still hear the music? Does the music get higher when the gmod volume is all the way down (i mean at 0)? I wanna know exactly what is failing with all 3 of my suggestions. I really want to know. |
