polls should not be a requirement for a suggestion and should be optional for many reasons

the first reason being that the difference between voting on a poll and leaving a reply is that the poll results can be easily manipulated by people who send the link to someone and tell them to vote for which option, and it allows people who do not play on that server to easily decide on what happens on there even though it does not concern them as they do not go on it.  with leaving a reply, you have to actually give a reason why your +vouching or -vouching the suggestion and you are not anonymously voting versus with the polls.

Spoiler:
or if your @Zellogi and decide to make alts to vote things your way (@White Mexican, boxhide)
if you only read the top and bottom of this thread because your lazy, ill re-clarify that i am not saying we should get rid of polls in total, but make them optional because some people just dont like them.

This suggestion is invalid as it does not have a poll.

I think polls make things simpler since you can just look at the poll and don't have to go through every reply + some times people don't want others to see their vote.

I don't think polls are always required, but there are some cases where a poll is the best option (for example http://lennyfacegaming.org/showthread.php?tid=6051 )

I was talking about polls in general, not just suggestions thats why i used that link as an example. But what i was trying to say was that polls being a requirement or not should depend on the thread since they make things simpler on threads with multiple suggestions and it helps avoid pages of replies from people saying "+vouch", "-vouch", "add this one", etc on one thread since it can happen on suggestions that are for all servers if we dont use polls.

Summary: Polls can be useful and should be required in certain cases/suggestions, so i think we should let Saint decide which suggestion he thinks need a poll and which suggestions dont, because after all he is the one adding or denying the suggestion and a poll can sometimes make the process of denying/approving a suggestion faster.

he said as a requirement not removing them on the website

Why flood an entire post with Yes or No votes when you could just filter them down to a single poll that keeps it nice and orderly? My OCD makes me require a poll because who cares who votes? Its a community effort to add something. Just because you don't play TTT on the norm and you play Sandbox the most doesn't mean you should have no say in a vote for a TTT item. Polls make stuff easier and most people prefer to use them, so why go around complaining about them? What is the difference between a poll and people just stating their opinions on the post.

If people have more to say on a topic other than the "Yes" or "No" votes... Then they can post... otherwise the poll is a perfect spot and makes stuff quick and easy.

Why must we make petty suggestions?
I am Darth Zan, a Sith Lord that took place of Darth Sidious and Lord Vader when they died at the hands of Luke Skywalker.

I was taken under the wing of Darth Kermit and I made an apprentice out of Darth Binks. Jar Jar is quite a hassle to train, but I'm too lazy to hire a new Apprentice.

when it comes to people using alts or friends who don't even play on the server to vote do remember Saint does have all final say when it comes to adding items or not. (Also not valid since it doesn't follow forum rules as Eevee pointed out)
