teamspeak channel position thing

Ok so we should add teamspeak server roles (that dont have images so it does not pop up next to the M logo) for server admins so it is easier for people to spot out those who are admins for the server they are looking for.  

Another thing with this is that the server role should automatically give the channel role channel operator to the specified channel for that server so that the admin can also moderate the teamspeak channel so if someone starts breaking rules in the channel they can punish them for it.


The only problem I see in this suggestion is other channel operators demoting each other for troll reasons.  But I could be wrong that could only apply for channel admin but I dont really know.

But how exactly would this help people identify server staff? They would either have to look through everyone's TeamSpeak ranks, or you would need to be in the specified server channel and they would have to know that Operators in that channel are also server staff.

I don't know what you're asking. You want staff for TeamSpeak, but you want to hide the icon that says they're staff, so it's easier to identify them as staff? That kind of logic makes me think your brain is suffering from an aneurysm.

What I meant by that is there to be no icon for the server role so it does not appear with the member icon

This thread is still a good idea, an automated TS system that assign staff ranks to those on TS who possess them.

I also see this being very possible because we already have this system in place for assigning the member rank with the !ts command. If we could have it also assign admin ranks for specific servers then you can identify people easier, we could also maybe make it so that people who join the "Sandbox" TS channel and have admin rank be assigned to Channel Operator so they can moderate the Teamspeak chat too.

A good idea I think that might add another reason for people to use TS, we should try and encourage more people to use our top notch server instead of using dreaded 3rd party services like Dickord.

This thread is not about giving people admin on Teamspeak, it's about adding server ranks onto Teamspeak so people can see what you are from clicking on your name.

The ranks themselves will not have any additional permissions except me suggesting they be given operator in the servers channel that they are admin on.
